The Story of Dallas County Begins Here

The museum opened to the public in 2007. Exhibits in the Old Red Courthouse displayed the full panorama of people, ideas and events that built Dallas County. The original mission of the museum remains the same, and will continue.

Museum Mission

The mission of the Old Red Museum is to inspire and educate people with the rich cultural, economic, political and social history of the Dallas County area, showcasing the many cultures that together have formed the Dallas of today.
